Nicholas have nailed it with this print and a great thing about this dress is that even though we are coming into the cooler months, it looks great teamed with black opaques, a tailored black jacket like this one here by Ellery and some black suede closed toe pumps..... I'm thinking Casanova by Tony Bianco. 

That is a look which could definitely work for night, but from day to day, throw on a leather biker jacket and some ankle boots, with the black opaques of course for extra warmth. Don't forget a magenta/plum lip too!!

Outfit Inspiration...

This outfit is definitely a "Brooke outfit"......

Easy to throw together and can work perfectly from day to night. I can not get enough of the Elton Peplum by Viktoria + Woods and the best thing about this top is that you will wear it for seasons to come. Oh and not to mention the leather panels.... LOVE!

Not much needs to be said about the White Suede black shine jean, other than if you do not own a pair.... then what are you doing?!!

Please meet Sheridan Smith

I have had the most incredible support from so many people in the building of 

Runway Brooklyn. 

So when fellow Launceston girl, Sheridan Smith, asked me to help promote her first song on iTunes, I was so happy to help.

Sheridan is honestly one of the sweetest, most genuine girls I know. She comes from the most loving family and I always loved when her and her mother would come in to Polly shoes. The love that have for each other is too cute for words! 

Sheridan's face lights up any room and I am so honoured to know this gorgeous girl.

Born 5th August, 1990 in Launceston, Tasmania, Sheridan Smith has become a successful Singer, Songwriter, Performer and Recording Artist. Sheridan may be a pint sized rockstar, but don’tlet the five foot fool you, she has lungs of a Viking.
Sheridan signed to Melbourne Independent Label, Barraiya Records in 2011. Since then Sheridan has been recording and just released a single in February 2013 with more tracks to be released in 2013.

You’re Dreamin’ – the single is now available on iTunes. Co-written and produced by Powderfinger’s Darren Middleton this catchy tune shows off some Fleetwood Mac harmonies and light hearted lyrics.

Who worked on this song with you?

I was really lucky to work with some of Australia’s great musicians such as Darren Middleton (Powderfinger), Marty Brown and Warren Bloomer (Claire Bowditch) and Matt Murphy. I’m very humbled that I get to call Darren a friend and a mentor who has helped me and guided me over the last 12 months.
I name dropped big time there hahaha.

How did the song You’re Dreamin’ come about?

Haha mum has been super worried that she’s not going to get grandchildren so she decided to put her feelers out there… Her feelers went the wrong direction LOL

I can't whistle… because I didn’t have front teeth until I was 7 LOL #Alliwantforchristmasismytwofrontteeth

Viktoria + Woods essentials

I always said that when I launched my on-line store, that the blog wasn't just going to be about pieces you will find at Runway Brooklyn. It is still all about sharing my latest purchases and looks I am loving. 

Although the outfit that I am wearing here is head to toe....well not toe, but head to ankle Viktoria + Woods, I'm not actually sure why 

1. I didn't order this top in... and

2. Why didn't I order more of these trackies?!!!

I know, I know.... I'm crazy, but hey it is a learning game and I am learning pretty quickly!

Anyways, the Marlo sweater is 100% Merino wool and an absolute dream. The fit is perfect. The style is flattering and the fabric is oh so cosy. Available in grey or the black and white stripe, you can get yours here, but be quick!

Now the trackies..... how damn cool are these babies?! I know right, so cool! Unfortunately they are like finding a needle in a haystack, but do register your interest here and let's hope that Viktoria + Woods decide to re-cut them AGAIN!
